GURUR GAYE GÜNAL

Gurur Gaye Günal graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Law in 1999 and founded Günal Law Firm in 2001. She established the Sports Law Commission at the Ankara Bar Association in 2007 and has been actively involved in the field of sports law since then.

For nearly 18 years, she has been providing legal services in sports law to clients from all around the world, handling a wide range of cases, including doping disputes and conflicts between clubs, athletes, and sports federations.

She has lectured on sports law at various conferences and certificate programs and has served as a court expert in Turkish courts. Additionally, she has handled numerous UEFA and CAS (Court of Arbitration for Sport) cases.

Günal played a key role in organizing an International Sports Law Certificate Program at ISDE (Barcelona) in collaboration with the Ankara Bar Association, with contributions from sports law experts from five different countries. She also arranged an eight-month Sports Law Certificate Program at the Ankara Bar Association, featuring 80 lecturers.

She was the first woman board member of Gençlerbirliği Football Club and has also served in various management roles within different sports federations.

With her extensive experience in sports arbitration, legal consultancy, and sports governance, Gurur Gaye Günal continues to contribute to the development of sports law globally
